How far in advance should I book?

For flagship retreats like Roots & Rhythm, we recommend reaching out at least 4–6 weeks in advance, as cohort sizes are strictly limited. For Shivoham and other date-specific retreats, earlier is better — these fill quickly around their respective calendar dates.

Is prior yoga experience required?

No. Most of our retreats are designed to welcome all levels, from complete beginners to advanced practitioners. The teaching adapts to the individual within the structure of the group program. If you have specific limitations or conditions, mention them in your enquiry so we can advise accurately.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellation terms vary by retreat. Full details are shared at the time of booking confirmation. In general, cancellations more than 30 days prior receive a credit or partial refund; cancellations within 30 days may be subject to a holding fee.

Can I come alone?

Yes. Solo guests are welcome at all retreats. Rooms can be arranged for single occupancy (an additional supplement may apply). Many guests find that solo attendance deepens the retreat experience considerably.

Are the meals fully vegetarian?

Yes. All meals at Maatre are vegetarian and sattvic. Vegan options are available with advance notice. If you have dietary restrictions or allergies, include them in your enquiry and we will confirm what can be accommodated.

How do I reach Marchula from Delhi or other cities?

The nearest railhead is Ramnagar Station, approximately 35 km from Marchula. From Delhi, trains to Ramnagar depart regularly. Pantnagar Airport (Nainital) is approximately 63 km away. Transfer assistance can be arranged — mention it in your enquiry.
